Selection Process for Pilot post in NMPA Mangalore
Candidates will be selected for this job on a Regular basis. Job aspirants must face two phases of interviews. One is a written test. And second is direct interview. Once your application form and required documents are submitted then candidates receive a written test call. NMPA also called applications for Pilot Post on contract basis.
Once candidates clear the written test, they will be called for direct interview in the directorate office at Panambur NMPA. Highest mark scorer will be short listed for Direct face to face interview. Finally the primary Test cleared candidate will be shortlisted for selection. They must submit their original document along with self attested copies.

- Candidates must hold a certificate of competency as master of Foreign-going Ship, or equivalent Qualification certificate recognized by the Ministry of Ports, shipping and waterways, govt of India.
- One Year Post qualification experience as Master/Chief Officer of a Foreign-going Ship

Age Limit to Apply for Pilot on Regular Basis
Age limit for Pilot post applicants has splitted in two different categories. And the number of posts is also divided into both categories. That is one post for the regular category and one post for the OBC category.
For general category the age limit is 40 Years and for OBC people have an extra 3 years of age relaxation to apply for the post.
